DAY ONE - Arriving to Montenegro
Upon arrival at the airport of your choice, an enjoyable ride with staggering viewpoints waits for you. Transfer from the airport and check-in at the hotel in Budva.
Sightseeing: Old Town Budva
Budva, the “Queen of the Mediterranean’’, offers excellent accommodation capacities, beautiful beaches, restaurants and historical sightseeing which will surely help you recharge and make your trip unforgettable. The town is known as the tourist capital of Montenegro and for all the right reasons. Highlights include walk through the medieval cobbled streets of Budva’s Old Town, a cocktail on the warm sandy beach and incredible views of the natural beauty of Budva, the bay and neighbouring islands. Located on a small peninsula, the Old Town represents a treasure chest of cultural heritage. Along the narrow streets and around the squares you will find famous buildings such as the Church of the Holy Trinity, which houses the tomb of the exquisite writer Stjepan Mitrov Ljubiša, and the churches of Saint Ivan, Santa Maria in Punta and Saint Sava.
Experience: Montenegrin evening
During the Montenegro evening, you’ll attend a program of traditional dances, hear some traditional songs and enjoy the national instrument, the gusle, as the musicians playing the instrument tell the tales of Montenegrin’s national history through many centuries. A Montenegrin traditional dance called “oro”, popularly called eagle dance, is a specific type of folk dance that resembles the movements of an eagle, typically danced at weddings and celebrations. Having in mind the attention and love Montenegrin put into their cuisine and food making, this experience will also be spiced up with traditional food tasting. Overnight: Budva.
DAY TWO - Boka Bay Cruise with Kotor & Perast
Experience the beauty of the Adriatic Sea on a Boka Bay cruise with a catamaran from Kotor to Tivat. Along the way, you will pass by the charming town of Perast and the stunning Our Lady of the Rocks island. The island is a man-made island created by local sailors who dropped rocks in the bay to create a base for a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church is a must-see with its beautiful frescoes and intricate architecture. The catamaran ride is the perfect way to take in the stunning scenery and crystal-clear waters of the bay.
Experience: Mediterranean dinner with cooking class
The cooking class will take place in a small village in the countryside, where you will be welcomed into the home of a local family. The host, a friendly and talented chef, will teach you how to make several traditional dishes, including priganice (dough-based snack), makaruli (homemade pasta, similar to spaghetti), and ruštule (a Mediterranean dessert). As you cooked, the host will share stories about the history and culture of Montenegro, as well as tips for using local ingredients and cooking techniques. The class will be hands-on and interactive, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get involved in the cooking process. After you finish cooking, you will enjoy the delicious meal you prepared, accompanied by a selection of local wines. Return to Budva. Overnight.
DAY THREE - Skadar Lake National Park Tour with Besac Fortress Wine Tasting
Depart to Skadar Lake National Park. On your way there, make a photo stop above the island of St Stefan. The beauty of this island and its medieval marble architecture are making Sveti Stefan to be an emerald of Montenegro. This island was a shelter for local people during the attack of pirates and Turks, but modern infrastructure represents a luxury hotel with private access for exclusive guests: even Novak Đoković chose it as the venue of his own wedding. You will arrive to the small fishing village of Virpazar, a perfect place to take a boat ride on Skadar Lake. A panoramic ride will reveal the numerous attractions of the lake: the extraordinary birds, the water lilies in full bloom, and wild, secluded beaches. The river Bojana creates a connection between Skadar Lake and the Adriatic Sea through a large mountain massive that separates the two. While cruising over the dolphin-shaped lake, which has the tail and two-thirds of the body in Montenegro and the head in Albania, enjoy the tranquillity of the national park and learn why bird watchers from all over Europe love to come here. After the boat ride enjoy the traditional lunch.
Experience: Finest wines of Montenegro – wine tasting
We have prepared for you an experience to remember during which you will have the opportunity to try some of Montenegro’s finest wines and enjoy the beautiful nature of Skadar Lake National Park. Wine tasting in a 15th-century fortress visit, together with a boat trip, will make this day one of the most memorable during your stay in our country. Return to Budva. Overnight.
DAY FOUR - Departure
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Transfer to the airport. End of services.
