About Bar

Bar is a contemporary, yet at the same time traditional center of tourism in the south of Montenegro. It is important as a dynamic economic and educational center of Montenegro, but also as a city that preserves a rich cultural and historical heritage. Bar is also famous for being home to one of the oldest olive trees in the world, the Old Olive Tree on Mirovica, over 2000 years old. Visitors can stroll through the charming streets of the Old Town, visit the impressive Stari Bar fortress, and take in the stunning views from the nearby hills.

What makes the diversity of this town even more interesting is the fact that a short distance away are located an Orthodox church, a Catholic cathedral, and an Islamic mosque.
